Most of us would say we value our independence. For some, that independence comes with the help of the Ford Transit Connect Wagon, the most popular vehicle for independent living and mobility among members of the Ford Mobility Motoring Reimbursement Program.
Through the program, participants can purchase the affordable vehicle – ideal for its interior space, fuel efficiency, and style – and receive up to $1,000 for upfit equipment and modifications, providing mobility for passengers who require a lift and/or special seating along with room to store a motorized scooter or chair.
“Transit Connect Wagon offers the right mixture of affordability, interior spaciousness and capability that is appealing to all people,” said Andrew Bayer, automotive products manager for Bruno Independent Living Aids. “Bruno is proud to work with Ford to ensure people with limited mobility are able to equip Transit Connect Wagon with the upfit options they need to help lead an independent lifestyle.”
Pricing for the Transit Connect Wagon begins at $24,525. According to Gresham Driving Aids, an upfit equipment installation company, the cost to customize the vehicle is around $12,500 or $4,000 for customers who only need the lift.
Ford’s reimbursement program helps ease the cost of independence and mobility; and we at Nick Nicholas Ford Lincoln realize how important that is to our customers and their families.
